Spotlight on Learning

School Feature, with Picture - Story 1
This text is a real challenge for me to keep free-typing and have words to come out in reasonable syntactical structure without too much apparent gibberish, but still maintaining the narrative format of sentences and paragraphs.

School Feature, with Picture - Story 2

This is another attempt to type words that look like they make sense yet have absolutely no meaning to a rational being. I need more words to fill out this column so that it is on the same line (kinda) with the bottom of the picture. That's difficult to do.

Welcome to Our New Technology Services Website

You will notice that we are redesigning our division’s website in an effort to provide you easier access to information that is important to you. (In the transition, some of the links will not work.) We hope the change clearly emphasizes the focus we have on teaching and learning, which after all is our core mission as an organization. As the new CIO, I am excited to be a part of the school district and have the opportunity to lead this division through the growth path that lies before us.

Growing up as the oldest of three children in a single-parent family in an impoverished area of rural eastern Kentucky, I experienced first hand the inequities that exist in society. However, education provided me the means to improve the quality of life for my family and myself. As a result, I have committed my time and energies to serving students and their families by helping them discover the joys of learning and capitalize on the promise that technology offers for extending learning into exciting new dimensions. We want to “deliver on that promise” for all the students in the Muscogee County School District.
